Arkansas Wins In Jacksonville
Jan 11, 2008

Star of the game: Guard Jeremy Bell had the hot hand the entire game, scoring a game-high 25 points for the Impact (2-0) in its Premier Basketball League victory over the Jam (1-2) on Friday night at UNF Arena. Bell was steady in the fourth quarter, sinking all seven of his free-throw attempts.

Turning point: Arkansas had an 84-82 lead and the ball in the final 30 seconds of the game. With the Jam defense playing aggressively in trying for a steal, Impact center Brian Bunche was left open for a layup. Jam forward Brian Greene made an athletic play to block Bunche's shot, but he was called for the foul. Bunche made both free-throw attempts with 10.9 seconds left, and Arkansas held on for the win in front of an announced crowd of 1,643.

Fouls: Jacksonville put itself in a hole to start the third quarter. It didn't score for the first 4:51, and Arkansas went on a 13-2 run to grow its lead to 14 points. ... The Jam was ice cold in 3-point shooting, going 4 of 20, but the Impact scored 36 of its 89 points from behind the arc.
